A chillin' sunday

After the trip yesterday we decided to do nothing today.
So no big news.

Enjoy the upcoming week. We try so, too.

Daytrip

We have been to Augsburg today.
That's a 45 min train trip and because
we've both never been there it was
really nice.
As you can see, the sun followed us
and that was really cool.
Augsburg itself is a nice little city but for shopping almost perfect.
All the stores have their stuff on SALE, so Jack got himself new shoes (he definatley needed some for spring) and a Samsonite rucksack. Both things look really good on him.
I think he enjoyed to be able to afford it. Absolutley.
Don't know why, but the only thing I bought were hair clips. I was looking for a new jacket, but the one I really liked cost 250 €. Nope, not a question to walk on by.
After a look around here, and a look around there it was quite obvious, that I don't really need anything. That's why there wasn't any shopping bag for me to carry. I was a little bit frustrated.

With the Bayern-Ticket we got back to Munich and for tonight we have no more plans except having a nice and chilled evening.
See you soon.

The Couch

First of all...just in case that you check the page again: MIKE, all the best and; we're posting in english, because of Jack's family in Australia and my relatives in the US who are reading along who don't understand German! :-)

For tomorrow I planned a surprise for Jack. He's out with some friends at the movies and doesn't now about it yet.
I'll tell you about it the soon.

By the way...I got everything done for the Arbeitsamt. It's a lot of paper work and they need so much information, omg.
But: it's okay. The situation lifts my butt of the couch and kicks me out of the apartment.

So far...see you next time.

20 January 2009

good morning

I can't believe it. It's snowing outside. Hey, christmas is gone...omg.
I am really impressed. I thought my muscles might be aching today after yesterdays bowling session, but they don't. :-) Maybe I am not that unsportive like I thought.
Let me think about that statement.

.....

Nope, I am not sportive. But I can do sports without big injuries. That's a good thing, isn't it?
Ahhhh..something to be proud of.

The Mega-bowler

Great evening. We spend it with Marion, her fiancee Ali and later on Fabian showed up, too.
We did some sports,..Bowling. And, actually, we did a really good job.
It was fun. After that, a short dinner at Mc Donald's. A really really good evening.
Some impressions via pics.

Thank you, Sun

Happy weekend to all!

Jack & I got up around 11 am and thought about what to do today.
We definately had to do grocery shopping but, first of all we wanted to enjoy the cold, but sunny weather.
Best way to do that...a short walk along the Isar river..took us about an hour.
Of course we went out of the way when joggers ran on by. That's their kind of enjoying good weather. :-)

I was bored...

...of the old template.
I hope you like our new OUTFIT!
Comments welcome.

I got the Job!

But I didn't take it, for good reasons...

But it's still really good news!

The store manager offered me a job in whitegoods. I'm not sure if that's what I want to do. He's willing and ready to give me a chance to do this without doing an apprenticeship. The reasons I didn't take the job:
  • Whitegoods... not quite me is it... ok Hifi, photography, computers all me but not really dishwashers, washing machines, electric toothbrushes and coffee machines... ok maybe coffee machines but not quite me.
  • Pay. ok while the pay would be much much more than I am earning at the moment I still wouldn't be independant from mum and dad and still wouldn't be able to cover my costs.
  • Karin doesn't have a job in Passau yet and if I get one then I'll have to move down there and there's the chance she'll get a job up here in Munich and then we'll be split up and that's not the point of this at all!
So there you have it, the three biggest reasons why I didn't take the job but he's still offering it to me and said that the next time Karin and I are down in Passau I should call him and all three of us will have a meeting together. Thus to say he's very convinced I'd be a valuable team member.

I've started playing Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 in my spare time. Loving GTA 3 and slowly starting to do lessons on Flight sim 2004.

I just want to say a "big hello!" to all of our readers it's nice watching the dots show up in the countries as more people land on our blog and it's nicer to see more of them coming back! A special hello to Karin's friend Martina and Jason reading along in NY ;)

Well other than a long hard week at work that's all I've got to add for now.

15 January 2009

Finally

Today it happened! I am free!
I am out of work. Now officially.
That's such a relief.
Cross your fingers please for my new application. The guys there will give me a call the next days.

13 January 2009

Everything went well

I went to the doctor and had a really good talk with him.
He suggested me to check my social life via lists. Sounds stupid, but in the way he explained it to me it seems to make sense. And he works with graphology. So he needs some samples from me next week.

By the way, Linda, I will get my passport in a month. With the ugliest photo you've ever seen.

Waiting Zone

Here I am. Passport station. Just A FEW people waiting. Great.

A few is meant like shown on the picture.

Biometric Pic

Today, I will go to the KVR to get rid of the ugliest pic I have ever used for a passport. :-)
It's even worse than a mugshot.

And: NO, you'll not gonna
see it!

By the way, I am not sure if the imigration department at the airport will allow me to enter Australia with this passport pic.
We'll give it a try at the end of march.

11 January 2009

Sunday, bloody sunday

The sun tries to help to warm us up, but actually we have minus 9 degrees, so it's not really bikini weather.
Jack got a call from media markt and he told the boss there, that he can not take the position, because it's not the department he applied for and I have no job there, yet.
That's ok, because these facts are right.
So we need to have a look how everything works for the following weeks.
I got a letter from the hotel. They ask me for a meeting thursday. I'll be there and hopefully they make my awaited decision.
Cross your fingers.

08 January 2009

minus 15 degrees

You can't wear enough clothes at the moment. During the day German weather doesn't reach more than -5° degrees.
And the people are freezing. So would you.
I had to buy a beanie today, no chance to have a walk without one.

I met Marion at Starbucks today. It was good to see her again. She's so excited about the fact, that she and her boyfriend finally bought the rings for their wedding. They're ready!

I went to another interview today. The headhunter agency girl was very nice and she offered me some really good jobs. I hope the bosses there are interested in my application. I'll get an answer in around 2 weeks.
Ah..by the way...the doctor (I went there yesterday) told me, that he would suggest to the Arbeitsamt that I need to change my job. That might avoid that the Arbeitsamt will not pay me money after I have to quit my actual job. To check that possibility i have to make an appointment with somebody at the Arbeitsamt. I'll do that on monday.

After all the christmas and new year's holidays, I hope I'll get a reaction to all other applications I sent. Cross your fingers for me!
I feel quite good today, after I had a long walk outside in the cold.
Ah...by the way..my car doesn't need to be fixed. Looks like it needed a recovery time; cleaning water is working again. Maybe it was toooo cold for the car, too.

I'll quit here and get me a blanket. Just the heater is not enough during that freezing period.

05 January 2009

....?

I write this in bed because there's no need for me to get up at the moment. And when I have a look out of the window it looks nice, but I can feel the freeze. That's so awful. You want to be outside, but it's not possible to enjoy it because of the weather.
Of course my moodyness is a still a problem, too. I can't get my ass out of the apartment without a reason.
Go out and walk! Good ... but to go where,...what for?
Do what you like, you have the time! Right, but what if I don't know what to do?
It's weird.
Jack got me out of the apartment yesterday, when we met up with Greg to have dinner.
It was pretty good. Greg was so tired..he almost fell alseep on the restaurant table. :-)

Allright,..plans for today? I need to get my car checked, because there's no water coming out anymore to clean the front window. Okay. That's first.
Second..Third....ah. Whatever.

03 January 2009

The new outfit

I played around a little bit and found a new background, which is not that boring than the offered ones from blogger.com.

Hope you like it. Comments very welcome!

01 January 2009

we made it to 2009

Happy New Year again!
We have been out to the hostel to meet the others and then Jack and I went down to Isil's hotel to go up to the roof to watch all the fireworks.
It was awesome! 360° degrees view. AWESOME!
Bad thing...it was freezing and it was so loud. I am a little bit of a chicken when it comes to that, so I didn't stand there that long, but to experience it was really really impressing.
The picture might not be that great, but just imagine us standing 'on the top of munich'.

Now it's 2:15 in the morning and we just came back home. Now we'll gonna have a talk to Jack's family to wish a happy new year and then, we're off.
